Dwvc, A Member's Opinion

By:

Designer Way Vacation Club (DWVC) is a holiday club who claim to offer its members unrivalled value for holidays and associated services such as flights, car hire etc. DWVC's service provider is Timelinx Vacation Services PLC, an ABTA, ATOL, IATA etc. bonded tour operator and travel agent.

Unfortunetaly Holiday Clubs in general have received a lot of adverse publicity lately largely due to the fact that numerous Timeshare orginisations are now claiming to be a holiday club.
Unlike Timeshare, DWVC do not own any resorts and simply offer net cost holidays and services to its members. Unlike timeshare there are no astronomical maintenance fees, limited availability or limitations to when or how often you go on holiday with DWVC.

As part of DWVC and Timelinx's customer relations they contact members upon their return from holiday either by telephone or email in order to get their opinions on their holiday experience.
One such email with survey sheet attached was sent to a Mr Stephen Kemp by Timelinx's Matt Gore. The very same day Mr. Kemp returned the survey sheet and also added a picture of the resort and his own opinions on the resort and DWVC, all are shown below.

I've attached your questionaire. Could not fault the accomodation for the price. The restaurant was clean and the staff were attentive but the food quality and choice were the only let down.

Hope that you can keep on providing deals like this. It makes a mockery of the recent adverse publicity. Two or three holidays a year at these prices will easily recoup the membership cost. Including flights at 250 each and car hire at 100 this holiday cost a total of 600 for two of us. The nearest internet equivalent that I was able to source would have been over 1000 + car hire

It was hard to believe the standard of accommodation for the price we paid. Hope this deal is available again. A car is advisable for convenience, but taxis are always available at short notice from the stand at the resort entrance.

As you can see for yourself, the value for money that DWVC offer is magnificent, by admission of their own members. Believe it or not this survey was by far the worse of all the surveys of this resort with the norm being 9 or 10 out of 10 for all aspects of the holiday.

The resort that Mr. Kemp stayed in was the Palm Oasis in Maspolomas (DWVC resort code T04421).
The complex is built in Canadian Colonial style and surrounded by exuberant gardens. It boasts two swimming pools with internal and external Jacuzzis, a fully equipped gym, pool bar, restaurant, supermarket, boutique, children's parks and two tennis courts.
All of the units are tastefully decorated and well equipped with air conditioning, a private Jacuzzi, satellite television, telephone, full kitchen with ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, refrigerator, juicer and toaster.

The resort offers daytime and evening entertainment with sports activities organized by their animation team.

The cultural amenities of Gran Canaria are within easy reach, or, alternatively, just relax around the swimming pool and nearby beaches.
