On the East Coast of Scotland is a land of rugged beauty called Angus. This historical area is everyone's vision of Scotland with its awesome coastlines and bustling Ancient City of Dundee, Angus. The hill walking fraternity will absolutely love the surrounding hills and glens and for a scenic change there is laid before them mile after sandy mile of glorious beaches and craggy coastline to ramble through.

The late and much loved Queen Mother was raised in her nearby ancestral castle of Glamis, and this whole area is replete with a splendid cultural heritage that is unique to the eastern seaboard as is evidenced by the many visitors that flock here from home and abroad.

Dundee has been aptly named the City of Discovery, and rightly so. As well as having a fine arts feel, it also boasts an excellent theatre and cosmopolitan cinema complex. The famous Dundee Rep and Contemporary Arts complex is a must visit incidentally.

With the diversity of activities in Dundee there will be little time to feel bored. You can swim, dance, fish, golf, ice skate and shop till you drop just to mention a few of the fun activities you can enjoy.

For golfing enthusiasts (Scotland's national sport) the Carnoustie club is right here as a major rival to the perhaps better known St Andrews and Gleneagles clubs. Golfers Paradise! Being the fourth largest City, Dundee in Angus is obviously a huge draw to visitors from the locality as well as further afield seeking weekend or day trips out. It is particularly attractive to families.

Dundee is known widely for its ancient cultural heritage. However she has a very keen eye to the future as is evidenced by the attraction called the Sensation Science Centre.This awesome place was developed to both educate and entertain people with its unique interactive exhibits. It aims to educate one in the use of the five senses and is especially popular with children of all ages.

The highlight perhaps of its historical past is the ship that Captain Scott sailed to the Pole birthed at the River Tay close by. Interestingly, the name of the vessel is R. S. S. Discovery.Another must see event! There is so much to do and see in this wonderful region of Scotland. This is no more so than in Dundee Angus, where a welcome warmer than whisky awaits.
