Driving Schools In London - Pass Your Driving Test The First Time

By:

A Driving school in London can be exactly what you need to pass your driving test the first time. While many times it is not required for you to take driving lessons in order to get your license you can greatly benefit from taking driving lessons.

There are many driving schools in London that offer driving lessons. You should contact your local department of motor vehicles to get a list of the local recommended driving schools.

If you are looking for a good driving instructor then you will want a fully qualified driving instructor as you may have much more success with someone that is fully qualified that just a friend or parents as they may pass down their bad driving habits. Qualified instructors will have a green DSA badge. Though with a pink badge are generally trainees that may have failed to become fully qualified.

Before signing on for the full set of lessons you can have a trial lesson in order to see if you feel comfortable with the person and if you like their teaching method and the car that they use. If for some reason you are unhappy with the instructor or if they show up late, take phone calls during your lesson or change your lessons frequently then you have every right to get a new instructor.

Generally it is recommended that you complete 45 hours of driving lessons with over 22 hours of practicing yourself. These are just guidelines as people do learn at different speeds and your instructor should be able to assess your driving abilities and adjust accordingly. You should also ask your driving instructor if you are ready to take the driving test or may need more practice.

Driving lessons will completely prepare you to take and pass your driving test. You will have knowledge of all the driving rules, know how to use them and have good control of the car.

Once you have passed your driving test please remember that this is just the beginning and the more you drive the more you will learn and gain experience. Some new drivers quickly forget all the safety training they have been taught and become a liability to themselves, passengers and other road users.

New drivers who do forget will quickly pick up points on their license which can result in being disqualified from driving for anything from six months to a few years depending on the laws they break.
