Dressing For Your Date Ladies

By:

For many years fabrics, colors, lines and patterns have all sent swirling messages, (many of them subconscious,) to those who women wish to attract. An outfit that reveals skin here, or chooses to cling in just the right spot there, can make all the difference in a woman's appearance.

With so many first impressions relying on appearance alone it is important that your clothes say exactly what you want them to. Whether you're hoping to keep a date semi-casual, or seeking the most romantic night of your life, you may help direct the events of the evening simply by taking the time to pick out the appropriate outfit.

Choosing the proper attire does not need to be about expense, labels or even forcing yourself to be uncomfortable all evening. The messages sent by the way you wear an article of clothing, the color it is and what it reveals can all be accomplished without your breaking the bank, or feeling physically miserable.

Though each woman has their own set of fabric and colors which can either compliment or detract from their good looks, there are many that tend to send out the same signals to those who may have a romantic interest in you:

Colors:

* Pastels send out a much softer signal to most dates. For many years softer pinks, blues yellows and greens have been thought to represent femininity, perhaps because at the core they also remind others of being a mother. If looking for a long-term relationship and perhaps someone to start a family with in the future these colors may help convey that message.

* Bright and loud colors that one might consider electric often send out the signal that you are looking for fun and perhaps only a casual attachment. Though naturally nothing can be completely assumed by color alone, bright reds, blues or yellows often attract attention and for that reason send the message that you want attention. These types of electric colors may be just the thing for a night on the town when simply looking to meet other singles; or perhaps when looking to show your date how much you enjoy having a good time.

* Dark colors can send out many different messages. Because so many women have that classic little black dress is not uncommon to see that standard often, though not all that long ago it would only have been worn during a mourning period. Dark colors are often slimming which can help if weight is an issue and allow you to have confidence with a side of style in your clothing. These types of colors often send out a message of boldness and strength that a pastel may lack.

Once again, nothing can be completely assumed by the color of one's clothing, however it is important to understand the kind of messages you may be sending out, just in case.

Though every person is unique and may prefer a different style of clothing (including your date,) there are some very common standards which can help to send the right message out when it comes to style and cut of clothing:

* Pants or slacks are commonly worn by many women and are extremely efficient at sending out a signal of casual feelings. Slacks maybe very flattering on the right type of build, but do not often send out romantic signals. If you are looking for casual or simple physical attraction this maybe appropriate, but is may be difficult to send out romantic signals with belt loops.

* Long skirts or dresses are often seen as romantic, feminine and with a stop sign as far as physical intimacy goes. Because the hem lines of skirts have risen so high, a longer skirt often indicates that you will not be easily won over physically and while for many women that is precisely the message they wish to send, others who may be looking for casual fun might want to avoid this look.

* Short skirts and low cut tops are the quickest and easiest way for any women to let potential lovers know that she is looking for something hot and steamy. When men ask women to dance in these outfits it is often code for getting as close as possible until you can head somewhere private and get better acquainted physically.

* Bulky clothing often indicates that you are shying away from any physical contact and though many women who feel insecure tend to dress in this style it may be best to try something new if you're hoping to attract your date.

* Softer fabrics are often thought of as feminine and delicate and are often taken to mean that the woman is bit more refined and should be treated with respect.

* Animal patterns are often assumed to be worn by women look for physical action regardless of cut or color. Stereotype though it maybe it is often the case. The same is often true of a woman dressed in leather, spandex or any imitation of.

Understanding what your clothes might be saying about what you're looking for in a date or how you wish to spend your time can be an essential component for any single woman. Try to make good use of any guides that will help you in understanding your body type, coloring and the messages you want sent out on the dating scene. The clothes a woman wears in no way define who she is, but making sure that your meaning is clear at a glance can certainly improve your entire dating experience.
