Dremel Router Bits-are They Any Good?

According to Dremel, it is utility, durability, and innovation that distinguish their router bits from those of other brands with similar product lines. With bits made of durable steel capable of operating at high speeds, Dremel products are designed to perform.

The steel used in Dremels router bits is considered slightly lower quality than the carbide used by some other manufacturers, but Dremel claims they are more than adequate to meet the needs of woodworkers engaged in multiple types of projects. Standard wood products were kept in mind when designing Dremel router bits so that Dremels tools can be matched to the materials that their customers use in their woodworking professions.

When using Dremel bits, just as with other brands, it is necessary to avoid whats known as chattering, when a the bit grinds against the wood in an undesirable fashion because the speed being used is too low. When using Dremel router bits, it is recommended that one increase the speed when chattering occurs.
