Dreaming While Wide Awake With Your Home Theatre

By:

Some films are meant to educate and offer diverse information. Other films provide total nonsense in order to shock the senses and cause laughter. Most films are meant to entertain. Public theatres provide considerable comfort so that patrons may enter into a realm most often unavailable outside. Unavailable until now, that is. The home theatre can far surpass anything that can be reasonably offered at a local theatre, plus provide the security and comfort of being in your own home. You can use the theatre any time you choose, morning, noon or night, and be completely free to enjoy the film any way you choose. What could be better?

You should give thought to what kind of experiences you want to have in your home theatre. Are you going to be viewing the films with friends or with your family, or perhaps just you and that special someone. All possibilities have their place but you should consider who will be seeing the film with you when you make your decisions as to how the home theatre will be used. The comfort of the theatre must be strongly considered.

You will want to think about what your viewers will leave the home theatre with when they leave. Will they want to return? Has the home theatre been a wonderful experience to them, or was it a distraction? You should build your home theatre to include everything you could imagine would make you the most comfortable in any film-viewing situation. You will want to have refreshments readily available, and not have to leave the theatre to get them. A wet bar and small refrigerator is a must-have for the home theatre. Breaking the mood and the senses to leave the theatre for food is just not a good idea. Preparing food beforehand is an excellent idea.

The home theatre should provide an entire system stimulation. Every one of your senses should be impacted by not only the film you are viewing, but by the surroundings you are enjoying. The film scenes should be enhanced by the pleasurable experiences you are having while watching. Every aspect of the home theatre should heighten the experience so that when the movie is finished, you will be disappointed to leave the home theatre and look expectantly to the next time you will close the door, leave the world outside, and begin watching another film that will lift you away from the mundane.
