Marshall Bruce Mathers III , better known around the globe as Eminem is an American rapper, record producer, actor and singer. Eminem came to the limelight in 1999 with his debut album, The Slim Shady LP, which won a Grammy Award for the Best Rap Album. The following album, The Marshall Mathers LP became the fastest selling solo album in history.

Eminem's seventh studio release, the most awaited new album RECOVERY is all set to release on June 18th , 2010 in Europe and on June 22nd , 2010 in the rest of the world. Relapse's release in 2009 contributed to Eminem becoming the biggest selling artist of 2000-2009. Neilsen SoundScan honored him with the title "Artist of the Decade". Relapse entered the charts at #1 and, at nearly double platinum, was the best selling rap album of last year. It also earned Eminem the 11th Grammy award of his career, for the Best Rap Album category. After the tremendous success of Relapse, Eminem began working on a sequel to Relapse, intending to name it Relapse 2. From the beginning Eminem's interviews about the release of the album had been unstable. In a Shade45 interview on April 23, 2009, Eminem had said "It's extremely close to being finished; it just depends on how many songs I want to put on it." In another interview on June 25, 2009, Eminem said that the album can be expected to release towards the end of 2009. The Rolling Stone magazine stated its release on November 2009, but again in November 2009, he declared that he would re-release Relapse in 2010, with a few more songs added, just to hold fans over.

Eminem kept raising expectations by stating that the newer version would be more "emotionally driven" when compared to the first Relapse record.

On April 13, 2010, Eminem wrote that "There is no Relapse 2" to his followers on Twitter. People started to believe that he was not releasing an album at all, but it just meant that the album would be renamed to Recovery. He confirmed this by tweeting "Recovery" with a link to his website. Eminem said "I had originally planned for Relapse 2 to come out last year. But as I kept recording and working with new producers, the idea of a sequel to Relapse started to make less and less sense to me, and I wanted to make a completely new album. The music on Recovery came out very different from Relapse, and I think it deserves its own title."

So after so much of anticipations, here's the one and only Eminem, the spell binding rapper, finally presenting his "Recovery" to fans all over the world. Eminem has collaborated with DJ Khalil, Just Blaze, Jim Jonsin and Boi-1da, Dr. Dre and Havoc for the production.The album has Pink, Rihanna, Kobe and rapper Lil Wayne featured along with Eminem himself. Recovery will be Eminem's first album not to feature Dr. Dre and Paul Rosenberg's skit .

The album's solo lead Not Afraid has given a new dimension for anthemic, inspirational singing in hip-hop style.
