Door Or Shower Curtain?

In many older homes, people have doors for their shower stall. Some people prefer having curtains because they can change them whenever they want and if they break, they are relatively cheap to replace. One downside to a curtain is that they can mold and when mold grows on material like that, it is extremely difficult to impossible to get off. You can throw it in the washing machine as many times as you would like, but those stains most likely will not come off. Doors on a stall can get very dirty very fast which is due to the fact that someone usually bathes every day and mildew builds up from the soap scum and water that hit it. Some people only clean their bathrooms once in a while and they become very gross. If you try cleaning your bathroom once each week, there would be less mold build up and you would not have to spend as much time cleaning as you normally do. Once a bathroom gets very dirty, it is hard to fully clean it. By wiping everything down more often, you can avoid this problem.

If a door is really old and becomes more and more difficult to clean, you can always use it as an excuse to remodel your bathroom or get a new door. Some doors can be very nice, but if it is an older house, there may be mold damage that will not go away. If you want to get a bathtub that is not connected to the walls, you will have to go with a curtain because it is hard to attach a door to something like that. You may not have to replace the whole thing, but if you do, use that as a chance to change things up a little bit. Buy a new door or switch to a colorful curtain.

Many people purchase a shower curtain and then design their bathroom based on that. You can buy one that is neutral such as a black or tan one and buy a toothbrush holder, soap dispenser, and towels that go along with the neutral theme or you could buy a bright colorful one and buy different bright colored bathroom items. The fun thing about designing bathrooms is that it does not matter what you do and it does not cost a lot of money to buy the little items. The bigger items such as a new bathtub are the items that get more expensive.

When something such as a door on a shower breaks, there are a few things you can do. You can call someone to fix it, which might only take a few pieces, or you might have to replace the whole thing. You could also just change it up and go with something a little easier to replace such as a curtain.
