Donate To Charity In The Digital Age

We've reached an era where our lives are almost completely handled online, or on an computer - from business appointments, to writing, to shopping, to transactions, and even to hobbies on our free time. No longer are we communicating in person, or doing business in person; that method is too inefficient, costing companies time and money. This mindset has also carried over to people and their personal lives. We've become so busy with our careers and digitally oriented that our friendships and relationships are formed online with some of the more popular "social blogging" websites. Back in the late 1990s, businesses realized that this online world was the way of the future, and started conducting 70% or more of their business online.

With that shift in mind, it took a little while longer for non-profit organizations to find their niche in the online world, due to the restrictions this frontier put on them. Money has and always will be a limitation of online business, due to the resources needed to manage and secure all of the information.

In the past 4 years or so, however, there has been an influx of organizations and businesses taking a stand and offering ways to donate to charity through this online world. Even better is the fact that they found a way to do so without costing you, the user, a penny more than paying for your internet connection. This update in the effort to make the world a better place is revolutionary, yet has slid by almost unnoticed by most of the world, lost in the flood of advertisements and information the internet throws at you every second. Here are a couple of ways that donating to charity has never been easier, and you can do so for free:

One of the biggest transitions in the ways to donate to charity is the ability to donate by browsing the web. Everyone who has ever been online knows how this is done, and we all do it for various reasons. Organizations are taking this and turning it into a method for donations. All you, the user, has to do is browse the internet for anything you would normally search for, and while you do so, money is collected on the site from your use and put towards different causes to change the world for the better. It's so simple and easy, it makes you think why you didn't think of this sooner!

Another way that's made its way into the digital age is clicking to donate. Organizations have websites giving information about their company, and some feature a page with just a button on it. When you click that button, money is donated to a cause that company chooses. If you bookmark the page and visit it daily or weekly, you can continue clicking a certain amount of times per day, collecting more and more money.

Hopefully now that you know how donating to charity has moved into the digital age and how easy it is, you can take a stand and do your part in making the world a better place! Make a difference, and be the change you wish to see in the world.
