Don't Say "digged"

By:

What is Digg? Digg is an essential component to your Article Marketing campaign. It is a social news site pronounced just like "dig". The content comes from millions of users. It is one of the more popular Social Networks that creates backlinks to your Blog or website and has the ability to bring loads of traffic to your sites. According to Quantcast's Web site, Digg.com claimed 27.1 million global users as of Nov. 30, 2010. The web address is Digg.com.

How it works From the front page of Digg.com you see a list of news headlines, each linking to a story from another site. When you click on the yellow dig box for a story it sends you to the story comment page. From there you can comment on the post or Digg it yourself!

Each story was submitted to Digg by a user like you. Other users then click "Digg this" to vote for the article. Once these users have voted they have "Dugg" the story. When around 40 or more have dugg the story, Digg moves the story to the front page. Based on continued voting it moves up or down.

Digg users can "bury" a story by marking it inaccurate, "lame," or several other disapproving words. If enough users bury a story, it disappears from most feeds. Users can choose to see buried stories. There are some groups that have made it their goal to bury stories of a particular nature in order to either promote their own cause or "protect" the public from what they feel is harmful. Either way, they have the freedom to do this on Digg.

When a Digg story links to you, you get a flood of traffic that tapers off after a day or two. There is so much information and so many new stories on Digg constantly that even the biggest stories rarely stay relevant for more than a couple of days.

Digg is a user-driven news site that anyone can join and influence. All articles are contributed free and users can read these articles for free. Digg ignores the content of stories. Users ignore or bury bad stories and promote good ones through voting.

And, by the way, say "Dug". Don't say "Digged." Your English teacher was wrong about this one! Expand your Article Marketing and Blog Marketing campaign. Join the conversations now. Better yet, start submitting your stories today!
