Don't Forget To Scrap The Bad Times.

By:

Our scrapbooks are full of happy, memorable, joyful events. We have many great photos of all the happy times of our lives. Few of us dont think to document the bad times. So when thinking of your scrapbooking pages and albums, dont forget the bad times. Remembeing a few years back, my husband was having some heart troubles, and a good friend telling me not to forget to scrap the bad times. We generally think of the good and happy times, when in reality we all have bad times. It is these situation that really define our lives.

These particular scrapbook pages included some of the different types of doctors that attended to my husband; cardiologist, electro physiologist, and his primary physician. Then there were the tests and procedures; stress tests, nuclear stress test, blood work, many EKGs, and EEGs, and then there was all the different prescriptions. Embellishments included doctors appointment cards, electrodes (from wearing the heart monitor), unused prescription cards, and heart stickers.

Within the hard times there are sometimes some humorous stories that could be journaled to accompany the photos. An example was when he was wearing his heart monitor, his students thought that it was an Ipod and were wondering what type of music he was listening too. Then there was the time we went to the beach and he had the 24 hour monitor on with the electrodes on his chest and stomach. He laid on the sand and was reading and didnt realize until were got home and put on new electrodes that he had perfect round white circles on his chest.

So dont forget to scrap the bad times next time you are scrapbooking, whether it be broken bones, the loss of a family member or friend, whatever it may be. My son hid his under-aged drinking citation because he knew what I was thinking!
