We are now getting into the flow of the New Year and with Christmas a long and distant memory, thoughts of summer holidays are creating waves of excitement.
Trying to decide where to go is part of the excitement of the whole booking process but can also cause us much confusion. With the economic climate not being particularly great at the moment a lot of people are thinking of going a little bit further afield in order to escape the Euro.
STOP right there!!!! You can still enjoy a fantastic holiday in a beautiful destination such as Greece, whilst sticking within a realistic budget. You just need a little bit of clever planning so read on and enjoy a fantastic holiday this summer;
Pack wisely - make sure you pack enough sun cream and mosquito repellent to last you throughout your holiday as you will be charged more if you have to purchase them in resort.
Buy magazines a couple of weeks before your holiday and pack them so you don't need to buy them while you're away and pay almost double If you prefer to read books then look around charity shops for them rather than paying full price.
Take an all inclusive holiday. You may pay that bit extra when you initially book your holiday but it is nothing in comparison to what you could end up spending on food and drinks in resort. Particularly good if you have children that are bound to knock every other drink over and drop ice-creams etc.
If possible try not to be too rigid with your departure airport. Driving that extra few miles before you travel can save you up to a couple of hundred pounds.
