Don’t Waste Your Free Traffic â€" Using Traffic Exchanges and Autosurf Programs

By: Greger Klen

People using traffic exchanges and/or autosurfs are familiar with allocating credits, only to see no results what so ever. While this problem always will be present, there are a few things you can do to minimize your wasted credits.
When you have surfed, surfed and surfed - You probably have a whole lot of credits saved up. It is time to allocate them.

Some of the traffic exchanges can deliver as many visitors as you want, but others don't have as many users. When you allocate your credits on these programs, you need to take close look on the activities on the traffic exchange
Before you allocate, you should do some surfing. Don't have to be much, just enough to get a general idea of:

Are you seeing the same page(s) over and over again?

This could be because it is only a few sites currently in rotation. If you allocate your credits now, odds are the others surfing will see your page to often. Of course you want every surfer to see your site - perhaps even a few times - but not over and over. Wait until you see more pages in rotation, or only allocate a few of your saved credits.

Are there few users currently surfing?

If there are too few users, the same as above will apply. Allocate at a later time, or only part of your credits.

Are all sites alike?

If you are noticing many sites to be different pages of the same site, mostly splash pages for other traffic exchanges or affiliate program entry pages, odds are your own page will do very well. What you want is to stand out; if all other pages are a blur of similar content â€" your own pages will be highly visible. This is unless you as well are allocating credits to splash- or affiliate pages. Avoid this as much as you can.

Take another minute to think about your own site:

Is everything in order?

Is every aspect of your website in order? Are all links working, no contextual ads prohibiting this kind of web traffic and all images in place? Is every page in rotation loading fast enough? You only have a few seconds to grab the surfer’s attention â€" Your site better load faster than that.

Can you handle the traffic?

Allocating all your credits â€" from all your traffic exchanges and autosurfs â€" at once, may bring a huge amount of traffic at the same time. Make sure your web host can take the heat; having your credits blown on Bandwidth exceeded pages from your host won't do you any good.

A good idea is to allocate the autosurf credits after you have used up most of your credits on traffic exchanges. You do NOT want to blow your manual surfers, while a few autosurf credits can be easily expended.

Other than this, you need to look at your results. If the traffic received don't meet your expectations - It might be time to change your tactics.....Or your pages ;-)
