1. Stomach Problems

Diarrhea can put your dogs stomach to a cease fire condition on food. This could be due to the dogs body is trying to remove the cause of the diarrhea before returning back to its normal state. 2. Microbial Infection

4. Stress

Diarrhea could be a stressful experience for your dog and stress can affect its appetite. The more stress it will have when diarrhea is accompanied with vomiting. Fever and weakness are contributing factors as well greatly taking its toll on your dogs energy. This will eventually result to your dog being too exhausted to eat.

Dog not eating with diarrhea is very common. All you need to remember is that the initial treatment is to let it fast while you increase its fluid intake. As it continues to defecate the stress in its digestive system will start to lessen and your dog will slowly gain its appetite back. Slowly encourage your dog to eat when this happens. Eventually it will return to its normal diet. However, if this does not happen, then it is time for your dog to see a veterinarian.
