Does Your Website Have Deep Issues?

By:

Have you ever interviewed your website? If you sit back and think about it, what would your website reveal if you were able to have a little SEO chat with the deepest pages of that site? If there is any chance that some pages are sad because they have been lacking the attention they deserve, you are not building the deep links you need to build.

Let's take a few steps back in the website design process. The most popular websites are built like the Food Pyramid. The top of the pyramid is the main page of the website and each layer under that is a deep page within. Linking to the top of the pyramid is the most common choice, but the other layers need just as much attention.

This attention can take a lot of time and that is the way it is supposed to be. The deeper the links leading back to your website, the better that website will look to Google, Yahoo and all other search engines. But how much time is a lot?

One - Two - Three - Four - Oh My!

If you can imagine the main page of the website as being MAIN, the second level of the pyramid would be MAIN/3. That page needs to have backlinks established on the web. The layer below that page is MAIN/3/2 and below that is MAIN/3/2/1. The more depth a website has, the more links that need to be created.

Many websites are popular enough to ask for reciprocal links to that MAIN page, but the inner pages of the website require a bit more work. With each addition of a new page, the URL will need to be bookmarked, offered to readers on social networking sites and used as the hyperlink on anchor text on article submission websites. So, to answer the initial question, a lot is a lot.

How Do You Manage to Keep a Deep Connection With Your Website?

Some business owners and webmasters choose to undertake the backlinking on their own. They write articles and submit them to directories. They link to their pages through the hundreds of social media options like YouTube and bookmarking websites, but these are generic links. They will do some good for the website, but they are not the only source of quality deep linking.

Eventually time constraints leave some of the pages of the website feeling left out and the rank your worked so hard to establish starts to slip. This does not mean the efforts into SEO are not good enough, but tracking marketing campaigns, starting new web ventures and building deeper pages takes time and there are only so many hours in the day.

No webmaster should be ashamed to ask for help keeping the relationship between the innermost pages of the website and the owner a deeply happy one. Backlink software and SEO companies are out there to help take the pressure off and keep your URLs as happy years from now as they were when they were first added to the domain.
