Does Your Website Have A High Bounce Rate?

By:

Bounce rate is essentially the average number of visitors who land on your web page and leave your website immediately without reading further. This leads to high bounce rate of your website.

Now, there can be several reasons as to why the visitors are bouncing back or moving away from your website. Some of them can be:-
Uninviting webpage
The design and layout of your webpage may not be very attractive to catch the attention of the visitors. Therefore, in order to reduce the bounce rate of your website, design a website that appeals to the eyes of the target audience.

Lack of relevant content
Ensure that your website contains information that is relevant to the industry you are operating in and is in accordance with the interests of your prospective clients.

Navigation
Easy navigation is the key to success here. If the information is not properly displayed and the visitors have to go from one webpage to another to hunt for the required information, this also results in high bounce rate. So, it is important to have a hassle free navigation so that the users find a reason to return to your website time and again.

Download speed of your website
As we know that everyone is in a hurry these days, nobody has the time to wait for any site which takes a few minutes to load. If your website takes a longer time to get downloaded, there are more chances of the visitors to switch to some other website rather than wait for your website to load.
So, make your website very light which is easier to open.

Related key words
Again, the key words should be selected as per the interests of your target audience and your business. For example: - if you are a mobile applications development company and you want to promote your website with related key words. You can use key words like mobile web design, mobile website design etc. If your visitors are not able to find you after typing a particular key word, this can increase the bounce rate of your website.
Hence, include related key words in your website.
These are the most commonly found errors that can lead to increase in the bounce rate of any website. Keeping the above mentioned points can certainly help you in reducing the bounce rate of your website; however the reasons behind this may change from one website to another.
