When you look at a business opportunity in Network Marketing what is your first thought? Here we go again or that will never work? How can you explain the success of so many network marketers if that is the case? The problem with those thoughts is that you defeat yourself before you ever learn of the potential. Just like any business on the planet, a network marketing business requires each individual to have a business plan for success and that is where so many excited new marketers drop the ball. You sit down at a meeting or with a friend and hear what sounds like a great opportunity, but you tell yourself immediately that this can't work for me and you never get going. What if instead you took the time to digest the information, and then wrote down a plan for success.

You may not know the first thing about network marketing and so you believe all opportunities are just a scam to get your money. The reality is that everyone in the business that is successful at one time had no idea how to do it. The difference between those that succeed and those that fail is those that succeed make a plan for the venture and follow through on every step, they don't sit around expecting everyone on the planet to come to them because they are in this business now. This takes work like any business and needs to be taken on the same way as if you were going to open a regular storefront business selling clothes or widgets or sports equipment. You wouldn't go to a bank to get a loan for a business without having a good plan to show them how this venture is going to be successful; if you did you would get quickly rejected. Same goes for any network marketing business, you can be so excited about the information you receive on the opportunity, but until you formulate a plan for your success that is all it will ever be is an opportunity.

You are going to have to look at your strengths and figure out, how am I going to promote my business so that others will want to join me. Are you good at talking to lots of people and explaining your business to them, or do your strengths rest more on writing and sharing through the internet or business magazines? Figure out what you are good at then research how others have used that strength to promote things.

You have to be willing to commit to network marketing with as much energy and enthusiasm and you would your first day at any job and then come to work every day ready to do what it takes to succeed. Do not let naysayers talk you out of success, maybe they just aren't very good business people or they failed once so they just want to convince you that you will too. Investigate the strategies that have succeeded and then tweak them to fit you and go for it. Write articles about you business and post them in ezines, classifieds and in grocery stores. Learn everything about the business so when someone is interested you can talk coherently about why you think they can be successful too. Be willing to ask for help from others that are successful and not be afraid that everyone will take your business. Be excited about what are doing and others will be drawn to your enthusiasm.

When you do sign up for a network marketing business, get your name out all over the web as someone that can help others succeed and then when people sign up with you, make sure you do all you can to help them succeed. This includes being upfront about the fact that just joining isn't enough, you have to have a plan and follow through on it. Treat this like any other business and work as a professional at it and you will find great rewards are waiting. Soon, the monthly cost for the product will be covered by your profits and you are what business folks call "a success" at that time. Your business is in the black and you are making profits as a true entrepreneur. Then it is just up to you whether you are happy with a small residual income or if you want to continue working your successful business plan and make enough money to replace your income or allow you to pay off all your bills and retire early.

Never let a no from anyone discourage you and don't be offended by it either, not everyone is going to be at a place where they want to join you, but some will. That is what you always have to remember, share your story, present the opportunity and if you get a no just say thank you and start working on the next prospect. Unemployment is out of control and many people you do not know are searching for this opportunity get busy and find them. Also remember that just because someone has a good job, don't assume they are not interested. They are actually in a better place to take on a small financial risk if you will share with them how they can succeed you may find them just as excited as you are about the possibilities.

Most important, surround yourself with likeminded individuals and build your business with and around them. Don't look to find people to tell you that you will fail, even if they are family, they are always happy to help you fail too. Success comes with hard work, if that is your mindset and you have a good plan, you just cannot fail.

Now if you are still reading this I believe that you believe you can have success with network marketing, now all you have to do is talk to someone that has been successful, make your business plan, join up and write your own ending, don't let anyone tell you what is going to be.
