When your ex seem to show you hints of interest in going out and spending time with you, or if you detect a little indication that your ex is trying to flirt with you can get your hopes up but do not get carried away. You may start to question "Does my ex want to get back with me?"

Although this may be fairly universal indication that your ex is interested to get back with you, it is not the time to jump the gun. The better way is to play hard to get to an extent without over doing it. Putting distance between you will make your ex wanting you more. If you simply leap in, it will spook your ex. They may just want to spend time with you because there is no prospect in their life at the moment. If they are not genuinely interested, they may do this to get back at you for the wrong they perceive. Therefore, you should understand the true situation before doing anything and not get carried away.

If your ex is serious about getting back with you, playing hard to get (do not over do it) is the best strategy. It will also protect you from being played in the event that it is only a game.
