Does Keyword Density Effect Seo?

From the moment the internet has became one of the largest information sources in the world, back in the late 90's, the debate has been going on about whether keyword density effects seo or is it just another myth.

I have been researching the topic of seo and keyword density for the past couple of days, and I have been educated by plenty of seo experts that keyword density does not matter and really has no effect on search engine rankings what so ever.

The reason being that many website owners, after realizing that they could rank higher if they stuff their pages with their targeted keywords, did so, which led to Google changing its algorithm.

Today, the search engine spiders are much more sophisticated when it comes to sorting pages and documents. That is exactly why seo terms like page rank, backlinks and seo authority were created. On page optimization doesn't matter anymore, and if you still spend time trying to squeeze in your keywords in between the lines than it is about time you stop doing that and do what really matters instead.

What the search engines consider valuable today is unique quality content, which benefits the searcher. You see, the whole idea behind the search engines is to make it easier for the searcher to find what they were looking for. So, you can see why a page full of keywords couldn't really suit their needs.

In fact, the most important part of your seo campaign is link building. Sure, the description and meta tags are important, but everyone knows that, and everyone does that well, but not many people spend time building a backlinking empire back to their site. People simply do not revitalize that a trusted website, linking back to a new one automatically raises its authority in the search engines' eyes.
