Does Everyone Or Anyone Need A Life Coach?

By:

As life unfolds, day in and day out, a person can become dissatisfied. Thoughts get stirred up that sound something like this - is there more I could or should be doing with my life; what could I do to improve my relationships; how can I get myself out of the financial mess I am in; how can I get healthier? In our minds we believe we can figure it all out on our own. We believe that we are the only person who has these thoughts or challenges. And - we're wrong. The majority of people have these thoughts and challenges and more. This is where a life coach can help.

What is a Life Coach?

We are all familiar with the concept of a "coach" because we are all familiar with coaches in basketball, baseball, football, and every other sport out there. There is no team out there that does not have a coach or many coaches. Coaches are necessary to teach and train the players to change fairly faulty habits, help them develop and improve so that they may become better players in their chosen field. A life coach is similar to those coaches. A life coach coaches people to change faulty habits, develop and improve the different aspects of their lives to help them move in the direction they want to go and support them in achieving identified goals.

Life coaching is a process of supporting the development and improvement of a person's life. It is a partnership between a client and a coach for a certain period of time. The partners agree to schedule sessions that will focus on the client's needs and other identified issues.

Why Do You Need Life Coaching?

The point in time when you decide you want to change (as discussed earlier) may quickly come and go. But this issue will be a recurring issue that can become a constant bother (also known as mind chatter). An example of this mind chatter - you want to lose weight because you are not feeling great about how you look and the damage it is doing to your health. You "want" to do something about this issue but you keep postponing taking any action - always "tomorrow." This issue will remain in your thoughts and be continuous mind chatter until you take action. Having a life coach supporting your goals and holding you accountable takes it out of your thoughts and puts it into action.

Is it okay to feel dissatisfied? With a life coaching you will be given a helping hand that will guide you to take that big leap and change your life for the better. Your life coach will be there to aid in determining the right path for you to take to improve and feel satisfied with your life.

Benefits of Having a Life Coach

A life coach will help you sort out what you want, why you want it, and what steps you need to take to achieve what you want. Your coach will aid in taking you along the path from where you are now and where you want to be. A life coach gives encouragement and provides support and instills confidence as well as motivation for you to achieve your goals.

Will Your Really Benefit from Having a Life Coach?

Anyone can benefit from having a life coach. Do you believe a pro football team gets to the Super Bowl without coaches? Do you believe individuals who want to be an Olympic star can succeed without a coach? No, because these people know that they need what they get from a coach; they need the support, encouragement, hand-holding, and pushing.

So the answer to the initial question is Yes - everyone and anyone needs a life coach.
