Does Air Travel Increase The Spread Of Swine Flu.

By:

Many people are claiming that the spread of contagious flues is being sped up by the new ability that people have to be one the other side of the world in much quicker time that in takes flu to be cured by the body. They are absolutely right.

These days, a pandemic that reaches a few members of a single countries can spread like a plague by travelling from country to country on host bodies. There is a very good reason that some Asian countries installed machines in their airport to detect if people with the flu were entering the country, machine that were initially installed during the Bird Flu panic, but proving useful for all pandemics that lead to flu like symptoms. But trying to prevent the spread of swine flu by stopping people already exhibiting symptoms at the border is a very inefficient strategy.

Imagine a situation where people from flights from Las Vegas to Los Angeles are found to be showing signs of flu. Unless you put every single passenger, and every cabin crew member and pilot in isolation or quarantine until they develop symptoms, there will be a lot of people who don't seem to be ill, but later fall ill due to contracting it on the plane.

Having just travelled to another party of the country of to another whole country altogether, pandemic flu is able to bounce around the world with great speed. Even short flights from Tampa to Philadelphia or flights from Atlanta to Grand Rapids can help speed up the spread of the flu around the country and then around the world. If it wasn't air travel then it would likely be something else like ships but experts agree that planes speed up the spread of swine fly.
