Dodge Used Cars- The Charger As A Used Muscle Car

By:

Dodge used cars like the Charger is the automakers revived muscle car. The Chrysler motor corporation decided to get back into this part of the auto industry after being out of it for decades. The Charger competes against the likes of the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro, which are both favourites of many North American car buffs. There has been a huge outcry from muscle car enthusiasts to get GM, Ford and Chrysler to build these vehicles from their glory days. So what youre seeing now is the big 3 automakers building these muscle cars with new designs but with an old retro touch in them. My research will be on the Dodge Charger and to see what its like as a used vehicle.

Dodge Charger used cars:

The interior features of the Dodge Charger resemble something like a Magnum wagon or a 300 sedan. The dash board and the instrument gauges reminded you of the Dodge Viper and are easy to read. The steering wheel, center console and doors all have a silver look to it. The R/T comes with leather seats but the lower SE and SXT models only come in cloth. These models come standard with remote keyless entry, cruise control, power windows, power locks, air conditioning and a CD player just to name a few.

I have different fuel statistics for the various engine sizes that the Charger has to offer. The 2.7 litre engine has a fuel rating of 11.4-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 7.7-litre, per 100km for highway driving. The 3.5-litre engine has a fuel rating of 12.5-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 8.1-litre, per 100km, for highway driving. The 5.7-litre engine has a fuel rating of 13.9-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 8.8-litre, per 100km for highway driving. The SRT8 has a fuel rating of 16.5-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 10.9-litre, per 100km for highway driving.

There are different engine sizes for the various models I looked at from the years 2008 to 2010. The base model has a V6, 2.7-litre engine and this produces 190 horsepower. The V6, 3.5-litre engine has 250 horsepower and the Hemi V8, 5.7-litre engine produces 340 horsepower. Their best model, the SRT8 has a V8, 6.1-litre engine and this has 425 horsepower under the hood.

Lets look at the pros and cons of the Dodge Charger as a used vehicle:

1-They have been known not to start if the battery is low.
2-An online leading consumer website gave the Charge an average rating for a used car.
3-V8 engines are known to have problems with a loud cooling fan.
4-The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave it a five star rating for a frontal crash test done to it.

I hope this helps if youre looking at Dodge used cars like the Charger.
