Do You Possess The Qualifications To Work As A Valet Parking Employee?

By:

If you're seeking a great part time (or even full time) job with great pay, then you should think about applying for a job as a valet parking attendant. These positions are pleasant and with gratuities, (plus your base wage), often are very lucrative. In addition to the nice money, the position has additional bennies. Like flexibility, for one. At many valet parking companies you're allowed to determine which days you'll work.

You'll no doubt agree that a valet parking position can be pretty nice. But how how does a person land one? What are valet parking providers hunting for in workers? They can afford to be quite rigorous as far as choosing additional workers, due to the fact that the positions are so desirable. Well, let's look at what makes for a desirable job applicant.

First off, they'll be asking about your driving record. Because, if they hire you, you'll be behind the wheels of their clients' automobiles, that is of primary importance. They will ask that you bring in a certified copy of your driving record from the local law enforcement agency. They need employees with clean driving histories. The most desirable people will be the ones which have no tickets and no wrecks. Does this mean that if a person's driving record isn't impeccable that they don't have a prayer? No, not always. Most people will have one or two items in their driving histories. But the less black marks a job seeker has, the better.

Next, they'll need you to provide a certified copy of your police record. It goes without saying that if an applicant has a number of arrests for criminal behavior, they're probably not going to get hired. The employers won't be interested in someone that might make off with a customer's vehicle or cash.

Drug testing will just about always be required, for obvious reasons. In addition, appearance will be a big criteria. Not that a person has to be a knockout. We're not talking about looks. But someone who is seeking to get a job as a valet parking attendant has to come across as a pro. What this boils down to is that lots of piercings or tattoos are going to make it hard to get the job.

There you go! So if you passed the test, you've got an excellent chance of getting the job!
