Denver air conditioning repair may be necessary for some problems you are experiencing. In this day and time many of us are in the do it your self mode, but fixing a central air-conditioning unit does not apply to this.

I can't think of too many worse feelings then turning on my air conditioning system and not hear it running. This always seems to happen on the hottest day of the year or when I have company over and we are going to be eating and entertaining inside.

There are a couple of things you can do yourself before you call out a Denver air conditioning repair man.

1. Check the thermostat. Make sure you have it set on a temperature that is lower than the room the thermostat is in. A simple way to see if it is operating correctly is to turn it all the way down and wait for the unit come on.

2. Make sure the bottom door on your furnace is all the way on. Many people waste money they did not need to. If you have recently changed your filter make sure you have the bottom door on all of the way on or your system won't start.

A Denver air conditioning repair person will need to be called if your system is not working for other reasons. For example, if your indoor coil is freezing you may notice a puddle of water on the floor.

If your outdoor unit is not coming on it could be one of several things. Common problems include a blown fuse, the condenser fan going out, or even a compressor failure.

Many times the manufacturer warratny will cover major items depending on the age of the unit. These repairs can be completed by an authorized service dealer for that brand.

For older units it may be worth considering replacing the whole system if the service repair bill is going to be too high. Most Denver air conditioning contractors offer financing so you do not have to worry about how you are going to pay.

Today it is common for Denver air conditioning repairs to include a diagnostic fee. This is a good idea because it lets you know exactly what your cost will be before any further work is done.

It is a good idea to check around to see what each contractor offers and what their fees are. Each Denver air conditioning repair company is independently owned and have different service rates.
