Do You Love Comfort Eating But Want To Give Up The Need For It In Two Seconds?

Do you love chocolate? I know you would you love to be able to keep eating chocolate and still look good for that upcoming event yes or yes?

I wonder what the benefits of being in control of your emotions so you can experience comfort whenever you like without the need for food yet still allow yourself to enjoy some comfort food would be for you

Once you have control of your emotions then you are driving your bus in terms of what you eat rather than being a passenger. Being in charge of what you eat for real that is simply must lead to that fabulous body.

Want to know why you love comfort food? Well comfort food will change the chemistry within your body and make you feel better. For example, eating chocolate increases the levels of endorphins, which work to lessen pain and decrease stress. Chocolate also releases serotonin in your body, which is known as an anti-depressant. One of the chemicals, which cause the release of serotonin, can also give feelings of excitement and alertness and works like amphetamines to increase mood and decrease depression.

Wouldnt it be great to experience those positive emotions of comfort, love, excitement and the like without the need for food such as chocolate? Very few people know how to choose their emotions and so rather they are at the whim of an uncertain world so when unresourceful emotions come up the only way they know how to feel better is to eat which will only get the desired result temporarily.

Lets scratch the very surface on the topic of how the brain works - cravings are a reaction by a part of your brain that is there to protect you. Your brain wants you to feel good right? So when you feel stressed or down it sends out signals to quickly do something to make you feel better and bingo on comes the comfort eating. Whilst this part of the brain can help serve you in other areas of life it doesnt right here. The good news is that there is a newer part of the brain, which is the home of reason and logic which allows you to respond rather than react. Unfortunately this part of the brain has its turn second.

So when cravings comes up dont react for two seconds - in the pause is the power and the wonderful world of possibilities. It may be the difference between reaching for comfort food and looking great for that event coming up.

Think of it as a set of reverse traffic lights. You may feel stressed, depressed, anxious or discomfort and in a flash the red light glows - cravings comes up and your emotions start running wild. Subconsciously, whether you know it or not, you look for a way to feel better and it remembers its old friend food. Next time wait for the orange traffic light by allowing the emotions to run through your body and now allow that void to be filled up with intelligent questions like am I really hungry or am I just looking to feel better? What is another way I could feel better? What would be the benefit of doing something else? Once you have found the answers through reason and logic it is time for the green traffic light by responding resourcefully.

In just two seconds you can move from a thoughtless need to a considered choice. What would that mean for you?
