Do You Know Where Mold Grows?

Do you know what mold is and where it can grow? Well, it is a fungus that grows wherever water or moisture gets into, and it spreads everywhere it can. There are over 200,000 types of mold out there. A lot of them are very bad and toxic, and some are used for good things like in the medicine we use to get us better. Mold gets in your house when there is water damage in it. It can be in your attic, basement, bathroom, or just about any room in your house. Mold needs three basic things to survive. It needs moisture, warmth, and food. All it will take for mold to grow is a spot of water that has been left to set. If it is not cleaned and dried up in time, a mold spore, which travels by air, can land on it and start growing.

There are black, white, and brown molds, which are very bad. It grows in dark places and can give you problems, such as nausea, nervous system disorders, vomiting, and other things that can cause discomfort and pain. It puts toxins in the air that can go throughout your whole house. It also causes your wood to rot, and it can eat the dry wall and eat wallpaper. You have to get it out of your house so it does not affect you and your family. It can grow under your carpet, in your walls, on clothes, in your appliances, and in your bathtubs. You can call a professional, or you can clean it yourself by getting cleaning supplies, such as bleach, all-purpose cleaners, or other cleaning solutions to get rid of the mold.

It spreads and will get bigger. You will start to see it, and it is very gross to see and has a musty odor to it. All you have to do is smell it, and you will know that you have mold somewhere in your home. These are very toxic to your health and everyone else that comes or lives in your home. You might have to replace a lot of things like the wood in your wall and in your floors, your carpets, wallpaper, the dry wall, and anything else that it had gotten into. You have to protect your family from this so make sure that you check everything, and make sure you don't have any leaks in or under your house. If you do, then get it taken care of before it gets worse.
