Jade used to be a popular material for ornaments in oriental countries. However, Bracelet and necklace made of jade is more and more popular all over the world nowadays. Then, here will come up with a question: do you know how to differentiate of take care of jade?

There are two kinds of jade, the soft jade and the hard jade. The soft jade has the chemical component mainly of the silicate of calcium, magnesium or iron. And the hard jade is composed mainly of silicate of sodium or aluminum. There will be some useful method to definite whether the jade ornament is made of real or fake jade.

1.#Use the water. You can drop a drop of water onto the surface of the jade, if the drop is round and can hold for a long time, it can be the real jade.
2.#Use your hand. The real jade will make your finger fell cool when you touch it.
3.#Use your eye. If the jade has an even color and transparent when you see though the light, it can be the real jade.
4.#Use your tongue. You tongue will have the feel of unsmooth when it scans the surface of a piece of real jade, and the fake jade wont have such effect.

Despite the above methods, you can use the reading glass to see whether the jade has a crack on it. If the jade has a crack on or inside it, the price will decrease a lot.

After we acquaint the knowledge of criterion of jade, we should know something about how the take care of jade ornaments.

1.#You should prevent the jade from hitting hard objects. The jade will crack easily if you hit it onto other hard surface. The crack may not be seen by eyes, but it will decrease the price and aesthetic value.
2.#The jade should be free of direct sunshine. The sunlight will have a bad effect on the color and texture of jade.
3.#Ornaments made of jade should be free of chemical compound. The compound will hurt the jade ornaments. The harmful chemical compound could be the soap, lotion, insecticide, perfume or cosmetic. If the jade ornaments touch these chemical compounds, you should quickly rub off these chemical compounds.
4.#You should clean the jade ornaments regularly.
5.#When you are cleaning the jade, you should use soft and white cloth.
