Do Not Miss The Empire State Building At Night

Whether you are buying fish from the world famous Fulton street fish market or taking in a Broadway show, one thing that is constant in New York City is the breathtaking sight of the Empire State Building towering high above the Manhattan skyline. From the promenade outside the Observatory of the Empire State Building you can see all of Manhattan, the Brooklyn skyline, ships coming and going in the New York harbor and even Staten Island! The promenade is lined with high powered binoculars for a close up look at some of Manhattan's famous landmarks and city life. The view at night is spectacular. There may not be anyplace else in the world were you can experience a sight as awe inspiring as the view from the Empire State Buildings promenade at night.

The Empire State Building was constructed on the site of the old Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. Designed by the architectural firm of Shreve, Lamb, & Harmon Associates, the construction of the Empire State Building was completed in fourteen months. The building itself is a landmark and has become a significant part of New York culture. The Empire State Building has been named one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.

If you are planning on visiting New York City you should take in the view of the Empire State Building as the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline. Take a day tour and go to the promenade and the Observatory. Visit the one of the many souvenir shops in the Observatory. Don't miss seeing the Empire State building lit up at night.
