Do Not Fear Removing Your Shoes

By:

It is late. You have been at work for the past ten hours. Today just is not your day. Your boss has thrown almost every task your way and he expects reports on his desk by tomorrow morning. You have not slept in weeks due to stress from work and you feel like your mind might explode at any second. This is not the best situation. You sigh and lean back in your chair as you realize that the inevitable is about to happen. You really will be there until midnight. In an effort to relax, you commit a fatal error. You take off your shoes. A foul odor comes flooding through the air and pegs your nostrils head-on. Your feet smell terrible! You immediately put your shoes back on and regret thinking that your day could not have gotten any worse. Has anything like this ever happened to you? Have you ever been on a date or in a social setting where foot odor got in the picture? Have you ever wondered why you have foot odor? Most people associate odorous feet with gym shoes or people with poor hygiene, so why do so many people have odorous feet? Foot odor is not an inexplicable phenomenon. It exists all across the world, in Atlanta, Toronto, Seattle, Minneapolis, Beijing, Paris, Denver and even Los Angeles. A podiatrist is a medical professional that works directly with feet. You will not need to see one of them to treat your foul smelling feet. Practical care can go a long way.

Wash your feet. This simple piece of advice will do wonders for you. Many people will ignore directly washing their feet in the shower. Do not ignore cleaning your feet with soap. Scrub them vigorously. Feet do not get enough attention. This will remove dead skin and kill bacteria. Foot odor is caused by bacteria. Bacteria multiply in moist locations. Wear socks and shoes that breathe. If your socks do not allow sufficient air flow, the moisture level increases. Apply moisture absorbing powders to both shoes and socks. Place odor eaters in your shoes while you are not wearing them. Find ways to allow your feet to breathe. Simple foot hygiene can and will significantly reduce odorous feet. Leather shoes can aid in reducing moisture and odor. Avoid ruining your own day or the day of somebody else. Clean your feet. Avoid the stench. Breathe.
