Do More Expensive E-books Or Information Products Sell Better?

I remembered the first time I created my own e-book. That was quite a pain as I had to go to the library and research the topic thoroughly, do lots of reading and then pen down a 30+ pages e-book. I used a dictation software, but with that, it was already tremendous pain considering that I have a full time job to go to. So, with so much effort put into your product, price it as high as possible. Why? Here are the top 3 reasons.

1)
You sell less, with less customers to manage. Do you want to sell a $10 products to 1000 customers that you have to manage and answer questions? Or do you want to sell $100 products to 100 high spending or value customers that you can spend more time with for future cross selling? Less work, more money.

2)
If a product is priced low, what is the perception that comes to mind? That it is very generic, and often not that different from competitors' products. Or worse, customers will suspect that your product has some hidden defect that they have to be wary of. If you sell high ticket items, yes, less people can afford, but it increase the perceived value of your products in the long term.

3)
If your product has information that is valuable and scarce, go all out and price it high. The more scarce the product, the higher you should price it. If your product is proven to give positive value and solution, such as helping to reduce scarring from acne. In this case, if the customer goes to a dermatologist for a laser treatment, that can costs up to $1000. Compared to that, your $100 e-book is much value for money. This is also applicable to products that help your customers make more money or make them feel better.

The bottom line is, pricing your product more expensive has more pros than cons. The whole internet marketing game takes time to master, so learn from those who have been there to shorten your learning time, and avoid painful mistakes.
