In the year 2009 visitbritain.org estimated there were 84 million holidays taken within the UK by residents, a large number of people enjoyed the sights and sounds that Britain had to offer travelling by car.

Not far from Cambridge in the borough of Hertfordshire is Stevenage, which was given new town status in 1946 and contains many green areas such as Fairlands Valley a 140 acre public park which includes water parks and boating lakes that hosts many activities including windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing and much, much more.
