By:

In my closet, I have a pair of red, patent leather BCBG girl pumps, a camouflage BCBG mini dress, a cream and brown BCBG blazer, a silk black pair of capris...I could go on and on. However, I don't want you to hate me because I am a BCBG girl. I prefer if we become friends and I show you how I have been able to collect all of these beautiful clothes without breaking the bank! I have a smart way to shop for discount designer clothes. Check this out!

STEP 1: Be open to new and different shopping alternatives. Often times, women get stuck in a rut. We shop in the same stores, the same mall and in the same neighborhoods. If you want to save money, you must be creative. Also, don't worry so much about what other people will think of you if you do something a little daring. Are you saving any money shopping now? O.k, then let's try something DIFFERENT!

STEP 2: There is a thrift store 2 blocks away from you, I want you in there early Monday morning. Now that you have an open mind, I want you to try out thrift store shopping. This is a discount designer clothes paradise. However, you must move past the stigma associated with these stores. Let you in on a little secret, most of the women in your nice, suburban neighborhood shp at "these stores". Why of course they tell you that they shop at Bloomingdales. In this economy, middle class women can only retain that status and where their favorite designer labels by visiting this type of discount designer clothes store. Don't be fooled!

The way to have a successful shoping experience at a thrift store is to shop frequently. They restock three to four times a week. Therefore, it is to your advantage to visit as often as possible. if you don't see it today, you will probably see it tomorrow. Oh yes, please get their early. The early bird gets the best discount designer clothes. You know that saying, right?

STEP 3: There is a consignment store 5 miles north of your job, be there early Tuesday morning. Consignment stores are less intimidating than thrift stores. However, you won't find that silk discount designer dress for $30.00. Instead you may pay $90.00. Hey, it retailed for $140.00. You are still doing pretty good. You'll pay more than at your neighborhood thrift store. However, you will spend much less time hunting for discount designer clothes. Consignment stores are also more consistent with their designer labels. Both will offer much greater savings than the department stores that you habitually frequent.

Quick review: Open your mind and visit thrift stores and consignment stores for discount designer clothes and enjoy yourself.
