Different Types Of Birthday Cards

Free e-cards are a very popular category of greeting cards that are sent by millions of people in the United States every year. And, the revenue from birthday cards alone tops the list as compared to the revenues from Christmas, Thank You, Get Well, and other such categories. About 60% of greeting cards sold are sent to people on their birthdays. With such a large number of people in this category, would you not want to be a part of it too?

So, what are the types of birthday cards that you can purchase? There are many different categories and this article has a list of some categories. Remember to choose whatever is appropriate to your situation.

Belated cards - These are cards for those of us who have forgotten to wish our family and friends on birthdays. Of course, we don't mean to do such things, but sometimes we do forget special days. Don't worry about it, and get your friend a belated birthday card.

Milestones cards - there are some special milestone birthdays like a sixteenth birthday or a fortieth birthday and it would be nice to buy a milestone card if you know the person's birthday. This is like congratulating a person for passing another milestone in his/her life.

Family cards - This category is probably the most commonly used one. The recipients are generally close family members like mom, dad, brother, etc.; you would then need to choose a card depending on what suits your interest and the recipient's.

Business cards - These cards are primarily used by businesses and corporations. Companies purchase such cards in bulk and then send it out to the worker on his/her birthday. This is a common practice to show workers that the company cares for them.

Romantic cards - As the name implies, these cards are for your boy friend/girl friend. A romantic card on his/her special day, will go a long way in cementing your bond. Sometimes cards express more than what we can express through words. So it would be a great idea to spend some time and select a nice romantic card for your loved one.

Spouse cards - Never forget this special day in your spouse's life. These birthday cards are made especially for a wife or husband to show how much you love him/her. Try giving a card for every birthday and over the years, you will look back fondly at these cards that will create wonderful memories in your mind.

Friends - We all have special friends in our lives and it is a nice gesture to wish the friend on his birthday. Why not do it with a card that is specific for a friend? These cards will remind your friend of the fun times that you both would have had together.

Funny cards - This is my favorite category and we find funny cards in every category. So if you are like e and enjoy sharing a laugh then pick up a funny card. These cards make the day even more fun and leave unforgettable memories.
