Later on the ink actually absorbs into the label material and is set permanently. So this is the only reason why thermal transfer printing process produces labels that have more longevity and durability.
Thermal label printing is another procedure where a thermal printhead applies heat to a ribbon. Later it melts ink into the material in the form of image. After the ink is absorbed the image becomes a part of the media. This technique does provide a high image quality and durability that is unmatched by other on-demanding printing technologies.
