There are many features that make up the camera, some of which tend to be quite intimidating to the beginner. The DSLR cameras are digitalized and highly efficient in capturing views of different kinds. It takes time to learn each and every aspect of the camera, but by the time one knows the basics of the camera, he will have a good time making photography his hobby. This is not to say that the features are easily understandable but, with time, the user will pick up the use of the features over time. The Shutter:
The shutter, just like in any other camera, has two major tasks. The first task is the one most people are aware of. The camera"s shutter is opened fully to take the photo that the person requires to take. The other function that most people are unaware of is the fact that it is used to fine-tune the focus of the lens. Whenever the user presses on it half way, the focus is made and the picture can now made taken in a sharper way.

The Lens:
Depending on the type of camera that a person has, the lens can either be fixed or adjustable. Of course the lens will be the curved glass that makes it possible for the person to view either a larger or smaller image through the camera. Interchangeable lenses are used by some people in order to improve the magnification or the distance from which the camera can pick up an image.

The Sensor:
The sensor is simply a recording mechanism that transfers the image to the digitalized replica of itself within the camera. Depending on the number of pixels that a DSLR has, the sensor will pick the finest of details and record it as a digital image. There are cameras that will give very sharply refined images on the image viewer of the camera. Whenever this happens, it means that the number of pixels that the camera has is very high.

Mode Options:
As many already are aware, there are different modes that a person may choose to select the view through. Some may make the image appear darker, lighter, brighter or even without full color. The DSLR has a function of this nature, usually located on the top left corner or the center of the camera.
