Different Forms Of An Affiliate Marketing System

By:

If you are thinking of making a couple of extra bucks using affiliate marketing, then you should know what affiliate marketing system you need to pick, as there are quite a few of them.

Pay Per Sale
This is the most common type of system; this is where the advertisers collect commissions based on the sales of products. This is where the owner will place a banner ad in your website, this contains a link that has a unique tracking ID. If a consumer clicks on the banner on your website and then makes a subsequent purchase, the tracking ID will make sure that the commission for that sale will be credited to your account.

Pay Per Click
In this type of affiliate marketing system, no purchases need to be made; you will gain commission just by having people click on the advertisers ad banner. The problem with this is that the quality of the visitors can be unsure, they might be a potential customer, or they might just be from curious friends or relatives that unknowingly clicked on the link without any intention of buying anything. Genuine clicks are confirmed thru the use of IP tracking, so that multiple clicks from a single computer wont be credited.

Pay Per Link
This system entails the installation of a link to the affiliates website either for a limited or a permanent period. This link could either be a very obvious link, like a recommendation list placed on a sidebar or on the footer of the page, or it can be rather inconspicuous, like being embedded within an article. This method isnt that commonly used right now because search engines like Google are known to lower the ranking of websites that are known to advertise using the pay per link affiliate marketing system.

Pay Per Print Out
In this system advertisers will pay you for each coupon printed from the website. In this method the consumer is directed to the affiliate site for a printable coupon, you will get paid pretty much like with pay per click.

Pay Per View
In this method, the affiliate is paid just to have the advertisement getting viewed by a set number of people. Once youve achieved the quota for the number of views on the ad only then would you get paid. IP tracking is used in this method so that the advertiser can be sure that only unique views are credited, not multiple views done by a single user.

Pay Per Signup
This is also known as pay per lead, in this system youll be paid when a person visits a website and creates an account. This is a popular method used by affiliates today, because people do not need to make a purchase of any kind, thus making it a lot more likely for them to do the transaction. In this method the advertiser gets an important lead that they will be able to push their products on later on.

These are the different forms of an affiliate marketing system; choose which one suits you best and try your luck at one of the most lucrative online home based businesses today.
