The Sunshine Coast is a lovely region to visit just about any time of the year. Located just about an hour to the North of Brisbane this region is packed full of exciting things to do, with an amazing coastline filled with the most beautiful beaches in the world. When visiting the Sunshine Coast region there are several areas that you may consider staying like Noosa, Maroochydore, Caloundra and of course Mooloolaba and for the most part which area you choose should be based upon what you seek from your Sunshine Coast holiday.

Go to Noosa if you are looking for a pretty quaint oceanside village, the northern end is a hangout for the older crowd, very laid back. But it's suitable for any age who wants to enjoy the water, get some relaxation time in and hang. If you want more to do check out the high end shopping on Hasting Street, where there are many nice cafes and boutiques so you can spend the day shopping. There's also a National Park close by offering wonderful scenery which adds to the Noosa experience.

And while the main attraction of the area is lies in its wonderful beaches, surf and shopping experiences you will find that the Sunshine Coast is home to many very popular area attractions as well. If you were a fan of Steve Irwin then you will want to check out the Australia Zoo which was once owned by the popular television legend and now is owned and operated by his family. Also, you will want to check out the Big Kart Track and other attractions there. It is a fun amusement area both for the young and the young at heart. Race around in Go Karts, climb the rock wall, or just hang out in the video arcade.
