Yes it does.

Lots of adults that are struggling with ADHD, don't know that foods can cause problems for this disorder. They also don't know how important it is in watching the diet their on. This is what causes them to feel better or worse. There are foods that you need to replace to have a good diet.

Avoid colored foods

One thing that might be really hard on some adults is avoiding coloring in foods. These foods should avoided and nowadays, that can be very hard to do.

You will be surprised by the foods that are in a cook book and all the foods that don't have coloring in them. This is really good news if you're wanting to stay on a diet to help ADHD.

Normally you can tell whether or not you're sensitive to foods that involve coloring as a child. Sometimes though it doesn't show up till later because of changes in your body.

Many adults think that having NutraSweet is ok, but really its not. You should avoid any foods that contain this.

There are things to replace this such as Stevia and Splenda.

Avoid all processed meats

Hotdogs is something that a lot of kids enjoy and even adults like getting because it's quick and easy to fix. However, on a diet for ADHD, you should avoid all processed meats. Don't even treat yourself to some once in a while.

Some of the all time favorite processed meats include : bacon, salami, sausage and ham.

Do keep in mind that there are alternatives, such as meats with leaner cuts, just as long as they don't contain chemicals. Avoid using a lot of oils when cooking. Learn either to bake or broil your foods.

Make sure that you look to see if the package says anything about containing chemicals, because if it does don't buy it.

Cut back on fried foods

Fried foods are also something everybody loves. This is something you need to cut back on, you can have some occasionally, but you should try to avoid them.

There are a lot of other really great foods out there that you can still have to substitute the bad ones.

Support groups

Lots of people do have questions about dieting for ADHD. No matter what your question is, you're encouraged to talk to your doctor or therapist about them. They will be happy to help and walk you through what you're going through.

If you're struggling do not feel bad about it because many people are struggling with it. That is the reason that there are support groups out there, so you don't have to feel alone.

A lot of people that go to these groups say it has helped them a lot because they get stuff off their chest.
