Did You Tumble Down The Yeast Infection Pit?

By:

Yeast infections are the pits! You want out and you want out fast!

Maybe if you knew what caused you to fall into this pit, you could figure a way out of it! And you are so right. You can climb out of this pit by reversing the five fatal steps that landed you here.

Step #1: What are you eating?

Let's face it. Most busy people eat a lot of "convenience" fast food. Unfortunately that type of food contains a lot of refined carbohydrates like white flour and sugars. Adding death inducing sodas to your sweet tooth only makes matters worse.

Guess who grows like mad on those types of sweets? You've got it - those little yeasty beasties. They start bubbling and brewing as they gobble up those refined carbs.

What starts bubbling and brewing right along with them? Your gut. Oh, you've noticed that haven't you as your gut bloats, grumbles and produces that uncomfortable and embarrassing gas.

Any of our organs (even the brain) may be affected by the toxins (at least 79 if them) produced by the yeast.

Those toxic influences on your brain may produce some miserable symptoms such as irritability, brain fog, and depression? Could be those yeast by-products affecting your brain.

So take the first step out of the pit by out smarting those little critters. Enjoy 5-6 small meals each day composed of a wide variety of colorful vegetables, well raised animal protein and non-gluten whole grains.

Step #2: Are you in the infection-antibiotic-recurrent infection vicious cycle?

That inferior diet may suppress the immune system so much that you start coming down with infections.

Or maybe you suffered a traumatic injury that required antibiotics to prevent or treat infection. Treating acne with long term antibiotics creates this mess too..

After the first course of antibiotics you felt ok for awhile, but then the infection came back. So you got another round of antibiotics. That nasty infection rebounds.

This time your doctor prescribed an even stronger course of antibiotics. It worked temporarily, but then the same old story, another recurrence.

At this point you're pretty fed up with the whole antibiotic-recurrent infection cycle. You're really tired of those bladder infections, chronic sinusitis or chronic recurrent ear infections.

Unfortunately, the antibiotics kill off the friendly organisms in our guts that help keep the yeast under control. The yeast have a grand time with the "policemen" gone. They multiply like crazy creating a toxic soup of metabolic by-products.

By replacing the good guys with probiotics and healthy food, you can help send those yeast scurrying back to the right balance in your gut.

Step #3: The cortisone helper

Sometimes as a last resort your doctor prescribes cortisone to calm down the inflammation and swelling caused by chronic infections, asthma or other allergies. Although giving some temporary relief cortisone also fosters the overgrowth of yeast adding to your dilemma.

As you follow the steps for overcoming yeast infection, the inflammation and swelling subside and you won't need the cortisone anymore. But always be sure to follow your doctor's advice when tapering off and discontinuing a medication.

Step #4: Stress

Any type of dis-stress releases more cortisol and unbalances the other hormones. This abnormal hormone balance encourages yeast overgrowth as well. So live healthy. Moderate exercise, eating clean food, drinking pure water, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air and sleepiing well will help you de-stress and reduce that yeast over-population.

Step #5: Pregnancy and birth control pills

This is a double whammy isn't it? What prevents one potential source of induction of yeast overgrowth (pregnancy) adds another source (birth control pills).

What are we to do? Well there are other types of birth control.

But if you really want a baby, then eat healthy and live healthy during and after your pregnancy. That way you can avoid yeast overgrowth and have a really healthy baby and a really healthy you.

Start climbing out of that pit and enjoy a healthy life for as long as you live.
