Diaper Bag Checklist

Its important to carry a fully stocked diaper bag while leaving home. A diaper bag needs baby bottles and formula. After sterilizing water and letting it cool, fill baby bottles with water. Cloth diapers make for good burp clothes. If packing for an older baby, be sure to pack some jars of baby food, along with a spoon. Select a diaper bag that suits your needs and your style. You may choose something streamlined or a bag with plenty of compartments and pockets to store bottles, diaper ointment, and even a changing pad.

Wipes are handy, not only for wiping little bottoms, but also for wiping messy faces. Store these wipes in an airtight container to retain the moisture in them.
Diaper bags vary in quality. If you don't purchase a quality diaper bag, you'll be shopping for a new one every few months. Diaper bags come in three basic styles. Some diaper bags have both hand straps and over-the-shoulder straps. Diaper bags tend to come in two sizes: Large bags, which hold lots of baby stuff or small bags, which hold just a few items.

Be sure to pack a baby blanket. If the baby uses a pacifier, pack an extra one in the diaper bag. For babies who are beginning to teeth, be sure to have some pain reliever along with a teething ring. Packing a diaper bag with the right essentials assures a mom that everything a baby needs when out of the house is secured

It's always best to pack something that will keep a baby amused. For newborns, pack some kind of toys that have interesting shapes and patterns in red, black, and white. For older babies, pack more colorful baby toys.
