By:

As summer methods we hear much more requests from our clients that they need to receive the darkest feasible sunless tan. Even though it is June, this sends shivers down our spines. As technicians, we want to accommodate our clients but know that darker shades or over spraying your client isn't the reply.

The primary thing we have to do would be to take a deep cleansing breath. Keep in mind the goal of a sunless tan would be to look fairly and natural. Advise your clients that a darker degree of solution might not appear natural on certain skin tones.

Understanding How DHA Works:
The main ingredient in all sunless solutions is DHA (Dihydroxyacetone). DHA reacts using the amino acids around the epidermis leading to a bronzed colour to seem. In other phrases, DHA adheres to the dead pores and skin cells. Because the tissues start to shed so does the DHA attached to it.

All sunless solutions contain a certain proportion of DHA. Professional grade solutions can range anyplace from 5% to 12%. A higher % of DHA will produce a deeper outcome. Keep in mind the more DHA focus in the solution the much more the colour modifications from a golden brownish to a red brown.

You cannot apply a deeper colour by over-spraying your clients. Skin can only absorb a particular amount of solution inside a single session. Over-spraying your clients will only waste your solution. In addition, using too high a percent of DHA on lighter skin will create an unnatural colour and have patchy fading.

Several solutions add a short-term bronzer to their solution. DHA take in between 4 to eight hours to fully create around the pores and skin. Short-term bronzers permit the technician to determine exactly where the solution is being utilized and provides the consumer sees immediate colour. The bronzer will wash off during the first shower.
