Develop The Now Habit Today!

How often have you read or discussed how to stop procrastinating by evolving the now habit? When in truth this very behaviour, or lack of action, is usually compounding your challenge to stop putting things off.

Procrastination is usually one of the easiest issues to accomplish throughout your everyday living. When faced with a different or tough task you may take no step just in case you undertake the inappropriate steps. Do you possibly get to the end of a day and consider just what have you carried out that very day? You are certainly not alone.

Do you create lists of issues that you hope to get done but squander almost all of your day checking the list and wanting to know which task you should certainly perform before anything else? Which comes first the most convenient or the most difficult, then at the end of the day discover that you have run out of work-time to accomplish either. I used to explain to participants at one of my coaching programmes to stop making lists of things to accomplish but alternatively at the conclusion of every day make a shortlist of things that they had completed. Then the next day develop the now habit by doing rather than thinking of doing.

You are not the only person in the world who puts things off so the trick is in learning how to avoid procrastination and thankfully that is very easy.

Breaking the habit of procrastination is the same as breaking any habit especially long ingrained habits. First of all you have to accept that it is an addiction and then you have to really want to develop the now habit and break the mould once and for all.

So in order to defeat procrastination altogether you have to understand and accept that it is easy to accomplish. Thinking it is difficult will only cause you to put it off until tomorrow. make a note of the times you are most likely to procrastinate, you will probably find the same items appearing more than once.

One of the most important things you must do is to avoid carrying out unimportant tasks just to appear busy especially those tasks and issues that do not take you closer to your overall goal.

Start looking at the task you are about to attempt and ask your self this question, is this undertaking bringing me on the way to or maybe away from my objective. If it is bringing you on the way to your objective, get productive, in the event it offers no bearing or perhaps in fact usually takes you away from your end objective do not do the item!

If the choice is to do it - do it now, that is the now habit.
