In addition to the temple this area also holds the sacred ponds of Parasara Teertha, Narasimha teertha, Pada teertha and the legendary spring of Namada Chilume where the majestic foot impression of Lord Sri Rama can be found. It is here where the Hindus believe that Lord Rama in search of water shot an arrow to the ground which resulted in this spring being created.
