Detox Your Entire Body

Detox Your Entire Body

By:

With all of the pollutants in the environment, it's no wonder that your body doesn't perform at maximum efficiency. While you can control the environment inside your home, you spend many hours a day in places where you have no control over the environmental conditions.

That's where much of the damage is done. And often, the damage is at cellular level. Because your whole body is exposed to toxins, you need a full body detox regularly to remove accumulated toxins from water, food and air pollution.

Some parasites even defy the barriers of sophisticated city water systems, and they come into our homes. Many metal, chemical and smoke toxins stay in the body and compromise the immune system. Before you know it, you will begin to feel the effect, unless, of course, you do something about it.

Our ancestors used to also detox and renew their bodies. It's not something that was just invented. Detox kits can be purchased in health food stores.

If you want to detox on your own, you can simply eat raw foods and drink juices made only from raw fruits and vegetables for a week; after a week you can gradually add other foods.

The purpose of a detox is to cleanse your body by expelling all of the toxic build up. It takes two to three weeks to flush out the toxins from your kidneys, liver and other organs. You may be in need of readjusting your schedule to make time for the detox process.

During detox, sleep and relaxation are essential. Stress cripples the process, and will render it ineffective.

If this is the first time you detox, a qualified naturopath can help you and monitor you. A good naturopath can create a detox plan customized to your needs.

This is the ideal time to seek help from the naturopath or a nutritionist to design a diet that will be more supportive of your body. Once you've cleansed the damage from donuts, cheeseburgers and fries, it wouldn't be sensible to go down that path again. Your body is starting anew, so help it stay healthy by making different choices from now on.

After the detox, you can return to your regular vitamin and mineral supplements. If you are on a prescription medication regimen, it is best to consult your doctor before starting a detox.

Whatever you do, don't take it on yourself to stop taking the medication. Altering your medication intake can lead to serious problems. Once everything is checked out, and detox is undertaken seriously , the benefits for short and long term can be incredible!
