Tying a tie is not too complicated of an event to undergo. With a little practice and repetition you can know how to tie a tie quickly. To tie a bow tie, you need to first wrap the bow tie around your collar. Then, you cross one end on top of the other. Take the end that is on top of the other end, and flip it under and upwards so it is now poking the left side of your face. Next, you take the ribbon hanging down and fold it so that it looks like a solid strand just wide enough for the next step. It should now look like a bow tie without the other band wrapping around it. Then bring down the end that is in your face over the top of what you just brought to your neck. Fold it back up the same side and string it through the loop you made on the inside. Then like magic, you have tied your first bow tie! Then fold it under start of the big end to the right. Then bring it to the left and pull it upwards again. Then simply bring it down the loop you just made and, like magic, you have a tie!

Now for those of us that are to lazy to learn how to properly tie a tie, or are to young to figure it out, they have the clip on tie.
