Dermal Fillers: Their Components And Uses

By:

There are hundreds, or even thousands, of compounds that exist in this planet. Some of them were already named by chemists and scientists, but a number of them are yet to be discovered. Some of them exist naturally; some of them are synthesized in the laboratory. The uses and applications of these chemicals are immeasurable - the additives in your food, the components of your soap, the flavor of your wine, etc. But not all compounds are favorable. A few of them serve as pollutants that are present in air, water and soil, which are responsible for destroying our dear Mother Nature.

But their said negative effects are insignificant compared to their total benefits for human beings. Just take a look at our industry; it would certainly be dead without them. One of the most common uses of these chemical compounds nowadays is the formulation of beauty products - perfume, powder, lipstick, makeup, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and more. Just take a look at the ingredients list of each of the beauty products you consume, and you will absolutely be shocked on how many acids, alkaloids, and other compounds that they combined just to produce a single product. The world really works in strange ways, doesn't it?

The compounds that are gaining much attention nowadays are hyaluronic acid, polylactic acid, collagen, polyacrylamide and toxins. Their fame is inevitable for dermal fillers, materials that use the said compounds, are gaining much popularity, too. These dermal fillers are injectable anti aging products that are used to retain the skin's youthfulness. They come in different brands and you may possibly know a few of them - Dysport, Restylane, Perlane, CosmoPlast, Radiesse, Sculptra, Evolence, Artefill, and Juvederm. They are currently present in the market but their injection to the dermis must be assisted by a trained medical professional. If not, adverse side effects may be experienced by the consumer.

Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in our body. It is responsible for making our skin and lips plump. However, as we age, the hyaluronic acid in our skin becomes damaged, and this results to the lines and wrinkles in our skin. Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm contain the said compound. They replenish the damaged hyaluronic acid in our body, giving our skin its volume.

Collagen, just like hyaluronic acid, occurs naturally in our skin too and degrades over time. This compound is responsible for retaining our skin's texture and form. And we know that as we get older, our skin becomes saggy and rough. Evolence contains collagen, which after injection gives us a younger looking skin. Some of the dermal fillers like Botox and Dysport contain toxins. Toxins here are not used to poison you, of course. They are used to relax the muscles, and thus, reducing the amount of dynamic wrinkles.

Each brand treats different areas of the skin, and thus, must be used carefully. If not, they will cause bleeding and lumps. If the lump was not removed naturally over time, a surgery may be needed to take it out.

Before using dermal fillers to remove facial wrinkles you may consider improving your diet and lifestyle first. If that is not enough then consider adding an HGH supplement and an anti aging cream like Lifecell.
