Implant Restoration
This stage requires the expertise of a restorative dentist. Once the treatment area heals and the implant becomes firm, the restorative dentist drills a hole above the implant. This is followed by placing the abutment. After placing the abutment, he measures the area to ascertain the size of the artificial tooth. This artificial tooth is constructed in a dental lab on the basis of the dentists measurements. Till the tooth is ready, the dentist attaches a temporary tooth. After the final tooth arrives, the dentist places it on the abutment and gives it the necessary finishing touches.

Both these stages are fairly common and straightforward. In certain cases, the patients jawbone is not sufficient in size or is too soft to place the implant. In this situation, the dentist carries out bone grafting to bring the existing bone to the optimal size or hardness. If bone grafting is required, the time taken for the whole procedure might increase. However, you should know that Osseo integration takes the maximum amount of time.
