Dental Cabinetry Is Multifunctional And Comes In Many Sizes And Styles

By:

Dental cabinetry is probably the most useful piece of furniture in a dental office. These multi functional cabinets come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. They all come equipped with drawers, and some come with a variety of drawer sizes. Some dental cabinets have suction equipment attached. Many of these units are portable, while others are stationary. They are very useful for both the dental assistant and the dentist as well. Dental cabinetry is a piece of furniture that can be plain and simple if you choose, or you can go with a fancier finish made of all wood with beautiful trim work. These cabinets have slide out trays for dentist tools, and some even come equipped with sanitization stations.

The portable cabinets are great, as they will allow an assistant to sanitize the tools and prepare the tools that are required for the patient without having to do it in the exam room. Watching a dental assistant prepare the tools can be quite scary for a patient who has a fear of the dentist office. It will help immensely to keep the patient calm when all the assistant has to do is prep the patient and simply roll the cabinet already prepared for that patient into the room. A cabinet that is portable is quite cost effective as well. When all a dentist has to do is purchase a portable cabinet, instead of suction tools for each exam room, it can prove to be very cost effective. Depending on the size of the practice, perhaps one or two portable cabinets with the suction option would work well, thus saving money on multiple tools.

On a larger scale in regards to dental cabinetry, the stationary cabinets that stay in the exam room are also multi purpose with sterilizing units and much more. They can be found anywhere from plain cabinets that don't have overhead cabinet compartments, to fancier cabinets made from all wood or a color to match the decor of the exam room. This type of dental cabinet can have a variety of drawer sizes, just as the portable cabinets do. These units also have several options from choosing the color, to choosing the material that the cabinet is made out of. Some of the larger cabinets are made to go along a wall, while others are more of an L shape for corners.

There are many other types of cabinets for the dentist office, and some have sinks while others are more of a simple dental assistant's tray. When looking through the several types of cabinets I noticed that some were quite inventive. Who would have thought that you could choose from an oil free air compressor, water tank, housing for high and low hand pieces, water suction, saliva injector, electric foot pedal, and even light options. Dental cabinetry can also often be custom designed to fit the needs of your particular office.

Dental cabinetry assists in making the patients exam or procedure go as smoothly as can be expected. These cabinets make tools much more accessible and readily available. There are many various shapes, sizes and options for a dental office to consider. When you are ready to choose the perfect cabinet for your practice, you are able to have the unit added to your decor by choosing a color that will go nicely in your exam rooms. Although appearance does not take precedence to functionality, it is a nice way to make your patients feel more comfortable.
