Delicious Oriental Food At Mainland China | Ahmedabad

What you see Mainland China, Ahmedabad Mainland China restaurant located in Satellite area of Ahmedabad is a popular Chinese food restaurant. Three huge, gold polished awe-inspiring statues greet you at the entrance. As you are escorted to your table by the courteous staff, you see dragon-shaped designs on the ceilings and on the wall, giving the place a very Chinese feel to it. A lot of golden and red shades are seen in their dcor. Chinese music plays in the background adding to the experience. There's a good sense of space around.

What you get Mainland China offers Japanese and Chinese delicacies. Right from prawns, duck, lamb to chicken, fish and crab, you get it all here. They also offer vegetarian and non-vegetarian lunch buffets at Rs. 349. We decided to go for the non-veg buffet.

We started with Jade chicken soup which was a spinach-based one with shreds of chicken. We liked it though it's worth a mention that if you like it spicy this is not for you. The starters consisting of Boned chicken Sichuan style (hot and spicy) and Chicken Siu Mai were relished as well. Chicken siu mai is nothing but steamed chicken dumplings stuffed with chicken pieces, carrot and peas etc.

Mainland China, Ahmedabad, interiors Moving on the main course, we sampled Taos chicken (sweet and spicy deep-fried chicken dish) and Singapore chilli prawns. Prawn lovers definitely wouldnt want to miss out on this dish. Then was the turn to dig into the Ginger and chicken fried rice, which was awesomely tasty. Hakka Noodles weren't bad either. The Crushed chilli flakes and garlic noodles was average.

Mainland China also serves desserts like Darsaan, Fruit cake, Coconut wontons and Vanilla ice cream. Coconut wontons with vanilla ice-cream is a must try.

Our verdict The best thing about Mainland China is that the taste remains consistent every time you visit it. The food is good and not the typical Indian Chinese that you find elsewhere. The service is excellent. They make sure that every customer is well attended. The place is expensive, but you wont regret spending. Parking space is available.
