As with any task or job we do, sometimes, we find ourselves becoming more and more complacent and having a child homeschooling is not so different. Oftentimes, you may start thinking that as you wake up; this thing is becoming more and more of a difficult job than a very enjoyable adventure. It is definitely okay to sometimes feel that way but it can be a very deterrent feeling to continue the education of your child at home if every day, you are feeling this way. The definition of motivation is a suggestion when your life is becoming complacent.
There are several ways to get your motivation. Some of them can be obtain by determining what is really going on with your current life and how you are holding up in your health. If for such a very long time, you have been doing the same kind of schedule over and over again, then it is now the time to make a complete change in your schedule.

Having just the same kind of schedule every day, is surely one of the ways for you to feel this complacent and boring feeling. For example, instead of starting your daily work at 8am, you should try to start your day at an earlier or later time. Make sure that if you do this, you have first informed your child about the changes you are making so that they will not be surprised or thrown off guard. Furthermore, you should explain well to them why you need to make a change. You can also explain to them the definition of motivation.

The very next thing for you to do is to change the order or sequence of your daily duties. For instance, if you usually start your daily task with reading, then you might want to change it doing mathematics. One of the effective ways to get yourself motivated and also make your daily teaching unique and different is to ask your child what subject they want to start your day. Oftentimes, they will ask you to start your teaching with reading and sometimes they will want to start out with the mathematics subject. Be sure to always accommodate them. In this way, you can always be kept on your toes because you will never know what will be their first choice of topic is.

However, if for some reason, you find these above mentioned suggestions not effective for you and you feel that you are not motivated enough, then, you seem to really need to take a break. Well, after all, school kids do take breaks from time to time, homeschooler is the same. Once in a while, you need to have a mental break from those same routine every day. Furthermore, your children will surely appreciate that break also. Set a very reasonable time frame so that you can make plans in doing something that is entirely nothing, only fun. The definition of motivation will answer all of your problems about being complacent.
